This page explains what information we collect when you join the cabinguide waiting list or register as a supplier, what we use it for, and what your rights are.
Data controller
Fifth Generation AS, a Norwegian company, is the data controller. Please send any privacy questions to post@cabinguide.no.
What we store
When you join the waiting list, we store:
- your email address
- the role you selected, for example cabin owner or supplier
- the location you selected
When you register as a supplier, we also store your organisation number, company name, the contact person's name, email, phone number if you provide it, and what you tell us about your services, locations and capacity.
Invoices and contracts in the app
Once the app is in use, you can add your cabin's contracts by uploading or forwarding invoices. An invoice may contain names, addresses, customer numbers and other details about the contract. We only use the invoice to pick out what is needed to show the contract and remind you about renewals and fixed terms, such as the provider, price and dates. The invoice is only kept for as long as this requires, and is deleted afterwards.
What we use it for
We use the information to let you know when cabinguide opens where you are, to contact suppliers about joining, and to understand which places and groups are most interested. We don't sell your information or share it with others for marketing.
Legal basis
We process your information because you gave your consent when you signed up. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Where it is stored
The website and forms are hosted by Netlify, which stores sign-ups on our behalf as a data processor. Netlify has servers in the United States. Transfers there follow the EU rules for transferring personal data outside the EEA.
When a supplier looks up their organisation number, the company details are fetched from the Norwegian Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (Enhetsregisteret). The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google. The site does not set its own cookies and does not use tracking or analytics tools.
How long we keep it
We keep the information until you unsubscribe, or until the waiting list is no longer in use. Then we delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to know what information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Email post@cabinguide.no and we'll take care of it. If you believe we are handling your information incorrectly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
